Nanjing port, a port in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, more than 400 kilometers away from Wusongkou. Nanjing port is located at the widest part of the river, 2.5km, and the narrowest part, 1.5km. The water depth of the main channel is 5-30m. It is the main coastal port, the main hub port and the first-class port open to the outside world. It has more than 50 wharfs, including 13 10000 ton deep-water berths, 6 10000 ton anchor berths, with a cargo throughput of 57.6 million tons, handling natural tons of 43.09 million tons, and container throughput of 1.57 million TEUs.
